Star of India

Indian food.. we cannot get enough. We're slowly working our way through every Indian restaurant in Austin. Star of India isn't far from us and we read a good review, so it was an obvious choice to try for dinner. We started off with the samosas appetizer ($4.95). I love the fact that every restaurant makes samosas differently.

As is typical, we were given crispy unleavened bread with sauces (not sure what it's called) while waiting for our food. We also got an order of naan bread ($1.50). For entrees we tried the Malai Kofta Kashmiri, which was vegetable & cheese dumplings cooked in an almond & cream sauce ($9.99) and Chicken Tikka Masala, which is tandoori chicken cooked in tomatoes and butter gravy ($11.99). Both very good.

Not sure about the sauces, but the bread is papadum.
