Picked up a dozen cupcakes from Cupprimo up north. I think the red velvet & pumpkin were our favorites! They added some cute Halloween decorations to the cakes.

Chowing in Galveston
We had a nice weekend getaway in Galveston, and ate at Shrimp & Stuff. Lots of fried seafood and cheap drinks.

Rio's Brazilian Cafe
The interior feels like someone's dining room. Very cute and cozy.
The cheese bread, which you can also buy at local grocery stores, is soft and chewy on the inside.. definitely unique and tasty.
The Apple Buzios salad featured a red wine roasted apple stuffed with goat cheese. Yum..
The butternut squash soup was very thick and hearty.
The salgadinhos are like empanadas and have various interesting fillings.

Roaring Fork- Restaurant Week
Sometimes the Restaurant Week deals are not that great.. Roaring Fork's deal was definitely a winner. $15 for a three course lunch.
Soup for appetizer: black bean soup and tortilla soup
Cobb salad entree:
Grilled fish with almonds
On to dessert.. what a filling lunch. Pecan pie and creme brulee. Both delicious and great presentation.
